World Soil Day and Rabi Campaign 2016 was organised at KVK, Hirehalli on 5th December, 2016. The event was inaugurated by Sri Veereshananda Saraswati Swamiji, President, Ramakrishan Ashrama, About 110 farmers from Tumakuru District and 29 line department officials were participated in the programme. Anshmurthy, Prl. Scientist, Soil Science, IIHR, Bengaluru, J.S.Veerabadran, DDM, NABARD, Tumakuru, Sri D.S.Raghvendra, Panchagavya Therpist, Bengaluru, Dr. G.Karunakaran, Sr. Scientist & Head, CHES, Hirehalli were Chief Guests on the occasion. The progressive farmers were felicitated on the occasion. On the occasion technical folders Mushroom Cultivation , Coconut Pest & Disease Management was released by the Chief Guests. Soil health cards were distributed by KVK to selected farmers on the occasion.
