World Soil Day-2021 on 6th December 2021 at Chikkadoddavadi village
Awareness Programme on Soil Health on the occasion of World Soil Day-2021 was conducted at Chikkadoddavadi village, Koratagere Taluk, Tumakuru on 06.12.2021 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hirehalli, Tumakuru.
Mr. Ramesh.P.R, Subject Matter Specialist (Soil Science) has welcomed the famers for celebration of World Soil Day-2021. He then explained importance of healthy soil, soil sample collection, soil testing and use of Soil Health Cards to the farmers. Mr. Prashant.J.M, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) has explained the adoption of dry land horticulture crops for improving soil health and livelihood. Mr. Anand, Project Director, AVISHKAR NGO has promoted the farmers to use FYM, compost and biofertilizer to improve soil health. 30 Soil Health Cards were distributed to the farmers during the program. About 45 farmers were participated in the program.
