Training programme for extension functionaries on “Integrated crop management in Coconut and Arecanut” and “Dragon Fruits Cultivation” on 08th January 2021 at KVK, Hirehalli,Tumakuru
ICAR- Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hirehalli organised one day Training programme for extension functionaries on “Integrated crop management in Coconut and Arecanut” and “Dragon Fruits Cultivation” on 08th January 2021 at KVK, Hirehalli,Tumakuru. The overall objective of the programme is to improve the capacity building of Extension Functionaries in terms of technical and managerial aspects in the field of horticulture technology management. Dr.B.Hanumanthegowda, Subject Matter Specialist Plant Protection welcomed the guests during the day. Dr.Raghu DDH in presence of Dr.Loganandhan.N., shared about eSAP platform on mobile, provided to all the horticulture staff to solve field problems of farmers. Dr.Loganandhan,N., in his address stressed upon front line and first line extension where farmers are directly connected at the field level for diagnosing their problems. The technical session started by Dr.Karunakarn,G., Principal Scientist on Dragon Fruit cultivation and covered length and breadth on that topic. If anybody is interested in taking up dragon fruit cultivation, technical guidance will be given by him. Marketing has to be taken care by the farmers only. The interaction session was held in the afternoon in which Dr. Hanumanthegowda and Sri Prasanth JM actively involved in solving the practical field problems in horticulture crops. Later they were taken to instructional farm and dragon fruit block at the campus. Vote thanks was conveyed by Mr. K.N.Jagadish. Overall programme co-ordinated by Sri Jagadish KN and Sri Prasanth JM.
