On-campus training on Drumstick leaves processing and value addition under EDP programme was conducted on 10 March 2022 at ICAR – Krishi Vigyan Kendra,Hirehalli Tumakuru. Mrs.Radha R.Banakar SMS- Home Science explained about the importance of drumstick leaves value addition training programme. Dr. Pushpa Chethankumar, Scientist, Department of PHT and Agricultural Engineering, ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru explained about the health benefits of drumstick leaves and opportunities through value addition. Later she demonstrated drying techniques of drumstick leaves and preparation of different value added products like powder, pickle, chutney powders and tea bags. 45 Farm women participated in the programme.
