Technology Week was celebrated by KVK, Hirehalli from 23rd December to 29th December, 2016. The main objective of the week was to showcase the different agricultural technologies among farmers, different department officials and media. The programme started with Farmers day celebration at KVK, Hirehalli in collaboration with department of Agriculture, Tumakuru on 23rd December. About 143 farmers and farmwomen were participated the programme.
On 24th December Sri J.M.Prashanth, SMS, Horticulture has organized Skilled oriented Training programme in Horticulture Crops for Horticulture craft teachers (Extension Functionaries) at KVK, Hirehalli. About 85 Extension Functionaries were participated in the training.
On 26th December the Training Programme on Recent technologies in Fodder production and Animal Nutrition was organised for officers of KMF, Tumakuru. Lecture was delivered by Dr. Giridhar and Dr. Gowda NIANP Bengaluru. Around 22 KMF officials were participated in the programme.
On 27th a Training Programmes on Production and Marketing of Organic products and Value Addition to Ragi was organised for members of Organic Federation of Tumakuru. . Lecture was delivered by Dr. M Prabhakar Rtd. Principal Scientist, IIHR, Bengaluru and Dr. T.N. Venkata reddy, Rtd. Professor UAS, Bengaluru. Around 86 members were participated in the programme.
On 28th December Training Programme was organized on Use of Bio fertilizer in horticulture crops by Dr. Selvakumar and Farm machinery by Mr. Dayananda. About 40 farmers were participated in the programme. Around 31 farmers and farm women were participated in the programme.
