Scientific cultivation of Coconut and Arecanut
A training programme on Scientific Cultivation practices in Coconut and Arecanut for farmers in collaboration with Organic federation was organized from ICAR- KVK, Hirehalli, at K. Palasandra village of Tumakuru on 13th July 2022. The Programme was inaugurated by KVK Scientist and dignitaries on dias. Mr. Prasanth JM SMS (Horticulture) delivered a lecture on scientific cultivation of Coconut and Arecanut. Dr.Hanumantegowda SMS (Plant Protection) briefed about the Pest and Disease Management in Arecanut and Coconut orchard. There was an interaction between participants and scientists at the end of training programme where in the doubts raised by the participants were cleared. The programme was concluded with formal vote of thanks by Mr. Govindaraju, President Organic Federation.
