Off campus Training programme on improved cultivation practices in Pomegranate

Need based training programme on improved production practices in Pomegranate was organised at Venkatapura village of Pavagada taluk by ICAR-KVK Hirehalli in collaboration with Department of Horticulture, Pavagada. About 22 farmers were participated in the training. Dr. N. Loganandhan, Head, KVK, Hirehalli Tumakuru highlighted the significance of organic products produced by the KVK and its role in Pomegranate production. Mr. Prasanth JM SMS, Horticulture explained in detail pomegranate production practices, Use of Arka Microbial Consortium and Pest and Disease management. Mr. Ramesh PR SMS, Soil Science explained the importance of Soil testing, Micronutrient application in Pomegranate and method demonstrated the application of AMC in Pomegranate field.
