Off-campus training on Nutri Garden at Karemadenahalli, Sira taluk on 26th August 2021
ICAR- KVK,Hirehalli Tumakuru conducted training programme on “Food and nutrition for farmers” under Azadi Ki Amruta Mahostava on 26th August 2021. Off-campus training cum demonstration on Nutri-Garden was conducted on 26th August 2021 at Karemadenahalli village of Sira Taluk. Mrs Radha R.Banakar, SMS-Home Science, KVK, Hirehalli explained the role of fruits and vegetables in daily diet to achieve nutrition security among farm family members. Mr Prashanth J.M, SMS-Horticulture, KVK, Hirehalli explained about the layout and use of organic micronutrients and foliar application in nutri gardens. This training programme was attended by 20 farmers and farm women from Karemadenahalli village. Later basic data of selected farm families was collected and handed over critical inputs (seed kit, some fruits and medicinal plants seedlings, micro nutrients, AMC..etc) were distributed to the selected farm women.
