State Department of Agriculture, Tumakuru has provided a project to KVK, Hirehalli for developing Capacity Building on Nutrition Garden among SHG women groups of Tumakuru District. Smt. Mamatha, IAS, CEO, ZP, Tumakuru has personally assigned this work to KVK and Department of Women and Child Development (DWCD). First Awareness cum Training Programme was organized on 30th May 2016 at Bellavi. About Ten Anganvadi members also took part in organizing this event. Dr.Loganandhan, Head and Senior Scientist, Ms.Radha Banakar, SMS (Home Science), Dr.Somashekhar, SMS (Plant Breeding), Sri Ramesh P R. SMS (Soil Science) of KVK were spoke on the occasion Ms.Vasanthi Uppar, Programme Officer, DWCD Tumakuru instructed Anganvadi workers to involve actively for implementing this programme.
