National Animal Disease Control Programme (NADCP) at ICAR-KVK Hirehalli on 11th September 2019

Central government has launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme (NACDP) to control and eradicate the Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis amongst the livestock in the country. The programme aims to control the livestock diseases by 2025 and eradicate these by 2030. It aims at vaccinating over 500 million livestock including cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats and pigs against the FMD. It also aims at vaccinating 36 million female bovine calves annually in its fight against the brucellosis disease.

National Animal Disease Control Programme was held at ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hirehalli, Tumakuru on 11.09.2019. Live telecast of the programme at national level was arranged at the training hall of KVK. Shri Huchhaiah, ZP member, Tumakuru, Shri Narasimhamurthy, ZP member, Tumakuru, Shri Lakshminarasegowda, ZP member, Tumakuru Shrimati Lakshmamma, President, Grama Panchyat, Hirehalli, Shri Ramesh, President, Saayi Samiti, Tumakuru and Dr. Prakash. L, DDAH Tumakuru were participated in the programme. 98 farmers were participated in the National Animal Disease Control Programme held at KVK. Mr. Ramesh.P.R, SMS (Soil Science), Mr.Jagadish.K.N, SMS (Ag. Extension) Ms. Radha R Banakar, SMS (Home Science) of KVK Hirehalli shared the stage with dignitaries.
