International Women’s Day on 8th March 2021
Special day programme on “International Women’s Day” was organized at ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli Tumakuru II on 8th March 2021 in collaboration with ATMA, Department of Agriculture, Tumakuru. This programme was attended by 55 farm women from in and around Tumakuru district. This event was inaugurated by Smt Sugandhini, Kannada Teacher, TVS School, Tumakuru. Dr, N.Loganandhan explained about the different programmes which are related to women empowerment at KVK, Hirehalli. Mrs Sugandini, spoken about how woman is playing an important role in overall development of the family and the society. She suggested women should make use of all the opportunities which are available through all the line departments in her inaugural address. Mrs.Radha R.Banakar SMS (Home Science) gave a lecture on nutritional importance of millets, fruits and vegetables for nutrition security.
