Inauguration of DAESI II Batch 2017-18
Inauguration of II Batch of programme “Diploma in Agricultural Extension Services for Input dealers (DAESI)” was organized on 10th November 2017 at ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru. The input dealers, about 40 in number, take part in this course for a period of one year (2017-18). The programme was graced by Smt. Roopa Devi, Joint Director of Agriculture, Tumakuru District, Dr.Venkatta Kumar, Principal Scientist & Head, Division of Social Science and Training, ICAR-IIHR, Dr.Pennobila Swami, Nodal Officer, SAMETI South, Bengaluru and Dr.Ramesh, Deputy Director of Agriculture-I, Tumakuru and Dr.N.Loganandhan, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, Hirehalli. The course has been supported by MANAGE, Hyderabad and SAMETI, Bengaluru.
Karnataka Stands First in DAESI Training with over 5000 Input dealer enrolled for the DAESI. The dealers who undergoes DAESI training can surely encourage the farmers for the nature-friendly organics chemicals, fertilizers and bio-fertilizers said Dr.Loganandhan N., during the inauguration.
Dr. Venkattakumar R., Principal Scientist & Head Division of Social Science ICAR IIHR Bengaluru in his speech on guidelines for operationalization of DAESI emphasized the importance of training to input dealers. Dr. Roopa Devi Joint Director, Dr. Ramesh DDA1 and Dr. Chandrakumar ADA Tumakuru stressed learning is a continuous process right from birth till the end. Agriculture Department Tumakuru will be supporting to the full extent and requested the dealers to utilze this opportunity of DAESI training program to improve their own business while serving the farming community. Mr.Anand, Dealers representative, requested all the dealers for the cooperation and good response to DAESI training program. Dr.G.R.Pennobaliswamy, State Nodal Officer (DAESI) SAMETI(South) emphasized the need to train all the dealers in Agricultural Extension services and to improve supply of quality inputs to the farmers and imparting advanced technologies to farmers.
