Distribution of Food-kits and other inputs to Migrant labors and SC farm women at Thimmanaikanahalli Village of Tumakuru on 26th May 2020
ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru II has involved in the Distribution of Food-kits and other inputs (seeds, manures) to migrant labors and poor SC farmwomen in Tuamkuru District, arranged by the Avishkar NGO, Tumakuru. The programme was organized on 26-05-2020 at Thimmanaikanahalli Village of Tumakuru. About 40 ladies from SC community participated in the programme. Mr Anand of Avishkar Foundation spoke about the precautionary measures to be taken to avoid Covid-19. Dr N Loganandhan, Head, KVK, explained about the various support that the KVK is ready to extend during the pandemic period, especially to the farming community. He also requested their involvement in the SC community related programmes that the KVK is going to take in the future. Gram Panchayat Member Mr Rajanna also took part in the event. The participant are given masks also to prevent the diseases. The programme was supported by Sri Marikamaba FPO of Tumakuru.
