Arrangement of Bee colonies at Metukurukki, Chitradurga on 25th April 2020
On 25-04-2020, a visit was arranged to Metukurukki Madhuvana Farm, run by Mr Shantiveerayya, retired JDA. His farm is known for bee colonies. Farmers approach him for bee boxes and colonies. He is also helping the KVK in maintaining the colonies at KVK farm. Some of the farmers asked the help from KVK to arrange for Bee-colonies during the Co-vid time. Swami Paramanada, Swamiji from Tumakuru Ramakrishna Mat also requested our support for the Ashram farm. So, Dr Loganandhan, took the farmers and Swamiji to the farm. A small training programme was arranged in his farm on that day. Later, they purchased about 10 boxes and colonies from Mr Shantiveerayya.
