9th SAC meeting of KVK Hirehalli was held on 11th Feb 2019
The 9th SAC committee meeting of KVK Hirehalli, Tumkauru-II, was held on 11th February, 2019. Dr.M.J. Chandregowda, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Zone XI, Bengaluru, Dr. K. Narayan Gowda, ADE HQ, Dr. R.C. Gowda, ADR HQ, UAS, Bengaluru, Dr. Narayan Swamy Principal Scientist, Division of Social Science, IIHR, Bengaluru, Dr. Jayaswamy Joint Director of Agriculture,Tumakuru, Dr.Giridhar, Principal Scientist, ICAR- NAINP, Bengaluru, Dr.Vasundra Scientist, NBSS&LUP,Bengaluru, Dr.JahirBasha, Asst. Professor, ARS, Pavagada, Dr.Desai, PC, KVK Konehalli,Dr.Somashekar, SMS, KVK Gonikoppal were also present.
About 35 officials from different departments like Lead Bank, NABARD, Dept. of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Sericulture, Women and Child Welfare, Fishery, DD Representative, FM Radio Siddhartha, and Project Directors of NGOs like AWARE,AVISHKAR,MOTHER, DHAN,SKRDP,IDF, Hallisiri SHG members from Tumakuru district also attended the meeting. Farmer representatives like Sri Kempaiah, Tumakuru, Sri Hanumantharayappa, Pavagada, Smt Manjamma, Koratagere, Smt. ShashikalaRanganath, Tumakuru,District also took part. There were 20 other farmer members also attended the meeting. Shri Shivalingiah Tangahalli Koratagere Taluk was felicitated for his achievements in Integrated Farming System and adoption of innovative technologies of ICAR-IIHR.
Dr.M.J. Chandregowda, Director, ICAR-ATARI released a product made of White Ragi ie., Biscuits, Rusk and Cake. A few products made out tamarind were released by Dr. K. Narayan Gowda, ADE HQ, Dr. R.C. Gowda, ADR HQ, UAS, Bengaluru during the occasion. Dr.Loganandhan, N., Head KVK, Hirehalli, presented the action taken report,Doubling Farmer Income (DFI) and last one year achievements and all Subject Matter Specialists presented their individual presentation on mandated activities of KVK. Director and other members shared their valuable recommendations during the programme. Progressive farmers offered their valuable suggestions for effective implementations of various programmes in the ensuing season.
On the occasion, a new organic vegetable nutriention garden under shade net was inaugurated by Dr. M.J.Chandregowda Director ATARI in presence of Dr. Jayaswamy Joint Director of Agriculture, Tumakuru Dr. K. Narayan Gowda, ADE HQ, Dr. R.C. Gowda, ADR HQ, UAS, Bengaluru at KVK Campus. He visited beekeeping madhu vana at KVK instruction farm.
A total of 50 official and non-official members, special invitees and progressive farmers and all KVK Staff participated in the meeting. During the programme, Smt. Radha R Bankar SMS (Home Science) Compere and Dr.B.H.Gowda, SMS (Plant Protection), welcomed the dignitaries and Vote of thanks was given by Sri Ramesh PR, SMS (Soil Science).
