Awareness Programme on Zoonotic Diseases on the occasion of World Zoonoses Day-2021 was held on 07.07.2021 at Chikkadoddavadi village, Koratagere Taluk, Tumakuru under NICRA project of ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli, Tumakuru in collaboration with ICAR-NIVEDI, Bengaluru.

Dr. V.Balamurugan, Principal Scientist, ICAR-NIVEDI and Dr. Narayan G, Scientist, ICAR-NIVEDI gave welcome address for the programme. Dr. Loganandhan N, Principal Scientist and Head, ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli promoted famers to improve knowledge on Zoonotic diseases. Dr. Chetan Kumar H B, Scientist, ICAR-NIVEDI delivered lecture on Zoonotic diseases and its consequences. Mr. Ramesh P R, SMS (Soil Science), ICAR-KVK, Hirehalli delivered lecture on Supplemental fodder production for healthy animal husbandry. Dr.Satish Gowda C S, Scientist, ICAR-NIVEDI explained role of ICAR-NIVEDI in animal disease management and gave vote of thanks. Farmers are provided with pamphlets on Zoonotic diseases, their prevention and cure. About 49 farmers were participated in the programme.
